CHIROPRACTIC

Chiropractic is basically a natural system for restoring health. Your brain coordinates and controls all function in your body. The brain communicates with all structures in the body by means of the spinal cord and the many nerves that exit through openings between the spinal bones (vertebrae).

Stress affects all people and can be inflicted upon us in many ways. There is the obvious, physical stress which we receive through many types of injuries and repetitive actions. Chemical stressors affect us through our environment in the form of many types of pollution and even from the foods we eat. Emotional causes adding to our increased stress levels are gaining more and more attention in recent years. All this STRESS can lead to a condition that chiropractors refer to as spinal subluxation. As your body reacts defensively to stress many things can happen. Relating to your neck and back, muscles become tight and contracted, ligaments become irritated and stretched, and joints become fixated and lose their normal range of motion and position. If bad enough, this resulting subluxation can affect the delicate nerves exiting the spine between the involved vertebrae. Depending upon where these nerves go to in your body it can create a resulting dysfunction that can adversely affect your health. Everyone knows somebody who has had a neck problem that “pinched” a nerve resulting in pain, numbness and tingling in their arm and hand.

As more and more people are turning from the accepted medical treatments for these conditions (medicines, shots and surgeries), that often are not helpful and can even be potentially dangerous, chiropractic is at the forefront of alternative treatment options. Chiropractors are uniquely trained to recognize the presence of the vertebral subluxation and to prescribe procedures for eliminating its debilitating effects.

Because the effects of spinal subluxations are progressive in nature it is of utmost importance to have your spine checked for subluxations as soon as possible. Feel free to give us a call at 513-863-1800 or e-mail us personally at brownfamilychiropractic@yahoo.com.
